Little Rot helps UK households choose a composting process that works in a small garden, paved courtyard, balcony or suitable indoor space. Our starting point is the whole process: what goes in, what care it needs and where the resulting material can go.

Find a workable process before buying equipment

A bin that fits in a corner may still be wrong for your home. A wormery needs appropriate feeding and protection. Bokashi needs a second stage after fermentation. A compact compost bin needs suitable ingredients, drainage and room to harvest.

The planner brings those practical requirements together, then compares selected equipment bodies against the dimensions you enter. A possible match is a starting point for further checks, not a guarantee that a product will suit your circumstances.

How we prepare the guidance

Our method guidance draws on RHS composting advice and relevant manufacturer instructions. Product examples use dated listing evidence and owner-supplied confirmations. We show known exclusions, conflicting measurements and unresolved requirements rather than treating missing information as a pass.

We have not tested the listed products hands-on. Product capacities and marketing descriptions are not treated as guaranteed weekly processing rates. Listings, sellers, kit contents and delivery terms can change.
